Fanvil Solution Secures Railway Stations in Indonesia

PT Kereta Commuter Indonesia (KCI), a subsidiary of PT KERETA API INDONESIA (Persero), is focusing on providing quality services and become part of the solution to increasingly complex urban transportation problems. As a facility operator, the Commuter Line train operated by KCI currently serves 79 stations throughout Jabodetabek, Banten and Cikarang with route coverage reaching 418.5 km.

The Requirement

Kereta Commuter Indonesia (KCI) recognizes the need to protect the passenger at its railway stations and is therefore constantly seeking to improve the safety situation in their railway stations. They are looking for a solution would automatically connect users at the touch of a button to their Supervision Center which provides required assistance or help. Therefore, KCI decided to deploy Emergency Buttons in selected area.

The Solution

To ensure immediate contact of a person in need with the Supervision Center, KCI decided to use Fanvil PA2 and PA2-Kit package to assemble the SOS device with customized appearance. The PA2 SIP paging gateway and PA2-KIT which including a button, an IP camera, a speaker, a mic, are installed in a customized orange box with exceptional external protection.


KCI installed several pieces of PA2 and PA2-Kit in each railway station, and a Fanvil C600 IP phone in the Supervision Center in each railway station to guarantee high-quality and comprehensible two-way audio and video communication even in noisy environment.

Fanvil i12 SIP intercoms are installed in public area and police offices for one-button emergency alert and getting instant communication from management center. The management center is able to use Fanvil C600 video VoIP phone to interact with the person calling from i12 SIP intercom.


The Result

KCI installed the emergency device customized by Fanvil PA2 paging gateway, PA2-KIT package in public area of their railway stations, and had Fanvil C600 android-based video IP phone in the Supervision Center at each railway station. The passengers enjoy a great sense of security thanks to Fanvil's SIP communication & security solution.
